NEET Physics-01: Measurement, Motion, Forces and Energy
Master NEET Physics basics: SI units, conversions, significant figures, errors, dimensional analysis, kinematics, vectors, Newton’s laws, friction, circular motion, work-energy, collisions—step-by-step examples.
Why does a perfectly reasonable physics answer collapse just because one unit was in CGS and the other in SI?
Get the foundation right with measurement and units: what a unit really is, how the SI system is built from the seven base quantities (metre, kilogram, second, ampere, kelvin, mole, candela), and how derived units like the newton, joule, and pascal come straight from them. You’ll practice clean conversions with the factor-label method, work through the newton as kg·m·s⁻², and learn to avoid the classic NEET mistake of mixing SI and CGS values in the same formula.
Next, sharpen your measurement sense: least count (vernier caliper and screw gauge), significant figures (including tricky zeros), and rounding rules that match real instruments—so you don’t report “extra digits” you never measured. You’ll also learn how to state uncertainty using absolute, relative, and percentage errors, and how errors combine in sums, products, and powers (including the cube-density pattern).
From there, motion becomes readable: frames of reference, speed vs velocity, graphs (including a ball thrown upward), and constant-acceleration equations with free-fall sign conventions. Add vectors, relative velocity (boat-in-river, rain-and-umbrella), projectiles, circular motion, Newton’s laws, friction, banked roads, work-energy-power, springs, mechanical energy, vertical circles, and collisions—so you can solve problems with fewer traps and more control.
